Early stones IMO were heavy influenced by R&B. I love a lot of the early Stones music.
(ya gotta tell me you're coming back to me).
Beatles were great in their own way. I think some of their later work ranged from genius to "you got to be kidding me". (number 9...number 9.....WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING!!!!)
I got to say the Stones. They survived all these years. (even Keith!!!) And they can still rock out. I always get a kick out of seeing Charlie Watts still playing that simple drum set, and still sounding great!!!!

in his bit, he went off on how all men cheat on their wives and girlfriends.
he was adamant that even the nicest of guys will take the opportunity to cheat if given the chance and that women need to understand that this is the way it is, 100% of the time.

Damn shame is right. His character Lenny Briscoe was one of the best TV cops ever!!
His one liners on the show were the best.
I never had the chance to see him live on Broadway, but I did catch a PBS Special of 42nd Street with Jerry in the cast. What a fine actor he was.

Do witnesses picket when they are on strike?
by JH inwhen a company is on strike and employees picket outside the building with signs, do witness employees participate in any way?
usually there is a strike fund for those who picket.
what about the witnesses, how do they proceed when their company is on strike, and do they get the same amount of money as the others who picket?.

I remember when I worked for a union shop in the 80's, we went out on strike for 2 days. (Of course, it HAD to be the two coldest days of the year ). I was still considered a JW at that time, but I did join the picket line and strike. I had two small kids and I needed the strike pay. I figured, I pay my union dues, the union is fighting for me, so I will support the union.
Of course, I was councelled after the strike was over by one of the JW's who worked for the company and chose not to participate in the picket line. He "loaned" me (in front of all my co workers) the bound volume from 1961 with the very articles that Blondie quoted above.
I looked at it and threw the bound volume right in the trash. (He retrieved it of course). I told him that an article over 20 years old (at that time) ain't gonna pay the bills or feed my two small children. I got the standard "Jehovah will provide" speech from him. I told him to tell it to my landlord. This actually was one of the straws that broke the camels back and I soon faded after that.
I told him that religion is religion, and work is work. Religion has NO PLACE in the workplace.
Needless to say, I wasn't too popular in the congregation after that, but I really didn't care.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I know all too well what you are going through at this time.
Reading this thread really gets my blood pressure up. However, I'm not surprised at the so called "loving" actions by these so called "brothers".
I wish more witnesses would realize that family ALWAYS comes first. Whether nor not they believe in the basic dogma's of the religion. FAMILY IS FAMILY. These friggin elders, MS, or whoever else in the Kingdom Hall CAN NEVER REPLACE FAMILY. EVER!!!!!!
Again. I'm very sorry for your loss and I'm sorry that these so called people have to make a sad situation even worse.
